Social Media Marketing Campaign + Fundraising

Opportunity: Raise $1,8000 to support the development of a well in Burkina Faso on behalf of TEEEM in partnership with The Georgie Badiel Foundation.

Strategy: Create a virtual peer-to-peer fundraiser and social media contest to engage students and donors under COVID-19 restrictions.

Tactics:

  • Secure sponsorship from 6 TEEEM partners for a social media contest.

  • Host a 10-week socially distanced 5k walk/run from Sept 29 to Dec 1, 2020.

  • Create a landing page using Classy for peer-to-peer fundraising and student engagement tracking.

  • Coordinate participation of 12 TEEEM clubs with teacher advisors at 10 New Jersey high Schools.

  • Launch #TEEEMFallFun - a UGC social media campaign + giveaway to amplify the campaign to potential donors.

Outcome: $7,500 raised in 10 weeks through social media and field fundraising.
